Esteban grew up in San Marcos and played soccer for a variety of clubs including Oceanside Breakers, North County United, and Carlsbad Lightning. Throughout each of his club experiences, he established himself with his on field talent. In 2009, he played for the 1996 Olympic Development Program Cal South team that traveled to Oregon to participate in the Nike Friendly Cup. He was subsequently called up to the Region 4 team and had the opportunity to travel to Boston for the U.S. National Team trials. Esteban secured a spot on the U-14 U.S. National Team where he played for two years competing at the highest levels. Following his time with the National Team, Esteban attended San Marcos High School where he was a four-year varsity player. After graduating in 2014, he moved to Houston to play soccer at San Jacinto College, but returned to San Diego after a year. Esteban is currently enrolled at Palomar College and will play his first season in the NPSL with NC Battalion.
