Four Battalion Players Win National Showcase With SDSU Club Soccer

Four players on NC Battalion’s squad had an eventful weekend away from the team. Ross Holden, Connor Mazolewski, Drew Tepping and Michael Benador also start for the SDSU Men’s Club Soccer A team. They traveled to the 2016 National Showcase Tournament in Sacramento over the weekend and returned back to San Diego as champions. It is the first time that a team won back-to-back championships. “We are extremely proud to have won the tournament once again and feel great about the work we put in the entire semester. Winning the San Diego Cup, the Southern Division League, and finally, the National Showcase was an amazing accomplishment by this group of guys,” said Coach Eric Wohl. Midfielder Ross Holden also took home MVP of the tournament. Congratulations gentleman!
